Wantagh State Parkway Ramp Closures Scheduled On Long Island

New closures have been scheduled for a ramp on the Wantagh State Parkway, according to transportation officials.

The ramp from the northbound Wantagh State Parkway to the westbound Northern State Parkway will be closed beginning Tuesday, Aug. 1 for maintenance, transportation officials announced.

The closures are planned to facilitate highway maintenance.

From Tuesday, Aug. 1 to Thursday, Aug. 3, the ramp from the northbound Wantagh State Parkway to the westbound Northern State Parkway will be closed, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

The stoppage is weather permitting and will last from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for each scheduled day.

Drivers who need to access the westbound Northern State Parkway during the scheduled closures will be redirected to the eastbound Northern State Parkway instead and can take Exit 34 towards Brush Hollow Road to access the westbound ramp.
